Why don't I see a player in the top right corner?

In the top right corner of this site, there is a music player that plays excerpts of Aileen's music. In order to use this player, you must have the Flash plugin for your browser. Flash is available for most browsers, and can be downloaded for free from Macromedia.

What if I don't want to install Flash on my computer?

If for some reason Flash doesn't work for you, or you don't want to install it on your computer, head over to the Music page to preview Aileen's songs. You can download excerpts from her songs in MP3 format, playable with applications like Winamp on Windows, iTunes on Mac, and XMMS on Linux.

Why can't I hear any music?

Can you hear other things? You can check by adjusting the sound settings on your computer. On a Macintosh, you adjust sound settings in the Sound section of System Preferences. On a PC, you double click on the speaker icon of the system tray, at the bottom right corner of the screen. Make sure the volume is turned up loud enough that you can hear it and that it's not muted. If you don't hear any sounds when you adjust the settings, you may not have speakers connected to your computer, or they may be connected to the wrong audio jack.

Why can't I hear the whole song?

We try to keep the costs of the CD reasonable, but we want to encourage everyone to pick one up. Sales give Aileen a chance to write more, and the funds to do a little touring. And we're afraid if we made everything free, we wouldn't have the money to keep this site going! So we give you a few downloads to whet your appetite, and then make it as easy as possible for you to get ahold of one of Aileen's CDs.
